Eco Club Meeting with Head
Introduction
Congratulations, your Eco Club is ready to address the important issue of carbon neutrality with your school’s leader.
Like all presentations, you only have one chance to get it right so we’ve done lots of work on your behalf to ensure that the presentation goes a smoothly as possible.
Step 1: Preparation
Like everything, the better prepared you are as a team, the more smoothly the presentation will go and the more positive the outcome is likely to be. We suggest you divide up the roles for the meeting giving as many people a voice as possible. This will show that you are all united and give everyone a shared responsibility.
By the way, if you are in an IB School, the DP students can earn CAS time by preparing for this kind of this meeting. More here.
The roles that could be filled include:
- Introducer x 1: Someone who frames the presentation and introduces the presenters,
- Presenter x 2: Usually either different genders and/or different age groups,
- Summarizer x 1: Someone who sums up, thanks the presenters and asks for questions,
- Question Answerers x 2: These people will have prepared to as possible for any questions that may head your way!
Step 2:
To support the presentation, we have a PDF which you can share with your team. Unfortunately, you are not able to edit this one!!
Download it here.
Once you’ve made the presentation and, hopefully, got everyone on board, then you’ll need take a look at our other projects on taking the next steps…
